Author's description of boats of longhoreman are those which put out from the beaches and open streches of the coast. A review of the boat suggests that author extends this description to many other small boats. An interesting study.

Brown boards with title in gilt on spine and decoration on front board. Gilt on spine has faded. Spine edges are frayed with a small tear on the bottom edge. Edge points are bumped. Internally there are no previous signatures and the pages are quite clean and bright.
New York:Carlton Press. (1965). 205pp. With dust jacket. AUTOGRAPHED presentation copy. Subject ended his career with Fall River Line as commander of the "Providence" and "Pilgrim". Dried liquid stain on a corner of front wrapper, otherwise a very good, tight, clean copy.
