Tipped in between page 468/469 is a 4 page list of "Printer's Errors" Overall, book is in very good condition with some minor soiling scatteed throughtout and dust residue to page edges. Dust jacket has light wear to edges and has two small strips of old scotch tape stains on each fold.
Boston: City Council. 1880. 172 pp. Illustrated with folded map. Hard bound. Ends of spine show wear, plus several small stains on the covers. Otherwise, a tight, clean copy. Internally clean and free of stray markings, though there is some foxing throughout. Most important is the fine Forbes tinted lithograph MILITARY GROUP. S033

Each map faces full-page advertisements for suppliers and manufacturers of the shoe industry. All advertisements are for New York or Boston sources. In addition there are entries for business law; 7 pages of an index of business houses classified under business headings alphabetically; stage routes, city car routes,metropolitan elevated railroad, New York elevated railroad, hotels, railroad depots, banks, in New York and Boston.
