Boston: Printed For The Society. 1879. Hardcover, no jacket. 294pp. Later binding in 3/4 leather over marbled boards, five raised bands with gilt titling and decoration to spine. Top edge gilt. Neatly inscribed to H.A. Whitney (President of the Boston & Providence Railroad) by Henry H. Edes (Chairman of the Parish Committee of the Church). Decorative bookplate of Whitney's son and his wife to front pastedown. Very Good condition. Boards are moderately worn with wear to the leather at the extremities, bands and gutters. There is a paper dewey decimal sticker to bottom of spine. Inside there is a pinhole to the title page, and the contents are a bit age toned. Overall the pages are clean and unmarked, there is no foxing, an the binding is square and tight. A very nice copy.
