Springfield, MA: Samuel Bowles & Company. 1867. Gray paper wrappers. 52pp. Inscribed (but not signed) by the author. Very Good condition. Wrappers have some sunfading, staining, wear (with minor loss) to the edges and spine, and a penned inscription by the author on the front. There is light foxing to the title page only. Otherwise the contents are clean and unmarked. The string binding remains tight. A very nice copy. "The Congregational Council which met at Boston in the summer of 1865 , recommended that $200,000 be raised to aid feeble churches in erecting houses of worship, and that a collection be taken up by all the churches of our denomination in behalf of this object, on the 17th of December. This sketch of those men, their character, principles and achievements, was prepared for that occcasion, is now printed particularly for distribution among the pastor's own people." (cfm)
