Hardcover.  Brown blindstamped boards are lightly soiled, sun-faded and shelfworn, with wear along edges, spine ends and edge points bumped and worn to boards. Gilt on spine strip almost completely dulled. Internally yellow end-pages slightly age toned, with a bookseller description attached to top of inside front board, and missing the last free end-page. There are no previous owners marks or signatures and the pages, although slightly age-toned, are clean.  The binding is tight but both hinges have cracked.  *An anti-slavery journal of an English actress who married a Southern plantation owner.
