New York:D. Appleton & Co. 1855. xi+292pp. Hardcover.  Black boards quite soiled, worn and scratched, with title in gilt rubbed off of spine strip,  spine ends worn, and edge points bumped. Page edges soiled. Internally end-pages and first as well as last few pages foxed, but free of previous owners marks or signatures. Occasional spots of foxing or smudges scattered throughout.
