THE FOUNDATIONS OF JAPAN THE FOUNDATIONS OF JAPAN

Notes made during journeys of 6,000 miles in the rural districts as a basis for a sounder knowledge of the Japanese people. London:John Murray. 1922. 446pp. Illustrated. Hardcover. Binding shows some wear to the edges and spine with some mild soiling and fading to the covers. Interior is clean and free of stray markings, save for a bookplate pasted onto the inside front board with a previous owner's signature inked directly above, with several ink numbers to inside lower edge of title page. Lacks first free end-paper. Some mild age-toning to the page edges. The binding is tight with hinges intact, but cracked at title page. Otherwise, this is a good copy.
