There is a small piece missing from the top of the spine and a tear about an inch long to the front bottom edge. Book itself, however, is only mildly shelf-worn. Inteiror is clean, bright and free of stray markings. Overall, this is a very good copy with a good dust jacket.

Spine a bit fragile, but pages securely held.  "The purpose of this volume is to give a simple sketch of the life and art of Athens from its earliest beginnings to the present time, as we find them recorded in ancient literature and in the monuments that time has spared to us."
