Involving an Historical Account of Early Cape Botany. Cape Town:Maskew Miller, Ltd. 1951. 188pp. Illustrated. Hardcover with dust jacket. Jacket is worn and frayed at the edges and spine ends with several chips and tears with a few small pieces missing at the spine ends. Otherwise in good condition. Binding itself shows only some mild shelf-wear. Interior is clean, bright and free of stray markings, though the first end-paper has been removed and there is a bookplate pasted onto the inside-front board. Overall, this is a very good copy with a good jacket.
Boston:Houghton Mifflin Company. 1911. 676pp. Hardcover. Binding is lightly shelf-worn with some fading to the spine. Front edge points slightly bumped. Interior is clean, though there is a small newspaper clipping pasted to the inside front board and a previous owner's signature on the first free end-paper. Also, there is pencil underlining throughout. Overall, this is a good copy.
Philadelphia:Carey and Hart. 1844. Two volumes. Ex-library copy. Hardcover. Bindings are worn at the edges and spine ends. Spines show some sunning with small library marking in white ink towards the bottom. Internally, small book-plates pasted in on the inside-front board, also small library stamp on the title pages. Some foxing throughout both volumes, otherwise a very good set.
Chapel Hill: University of North Carolina Press. (1944). 316 pp. Hardcover w/ dust jacket. Dust jacket shows moderate chipping with some tearing along the top edge (front and rear). Otherwise, aside from some rubbing down the spine, it is in very good condition. Interior is free of markings, though pages are lightly aged. A very good, clean copy.
San Diego: (np). (1969). 151 pp. Contains photographs. Softcover. Cover has some creasing on the corners and along the binding but otherwise shows only minor wear. Inside is clean and free of markings. A very good copy.

Interior is clean, bright and free ofs tray markings, though there is some significant toning to the pages throughout. Overall, this is a very good copy.
