Blue cloth boards are lightly soiled with some sun-fading along edges. Interior is very good with paper just slightly age-toned, but clean and unmarked, with sharp corners and no foxing. The binding is square and tight.  We obtained this copy direct from the publisher, it has not been privately owned. "The Opera Berenice was composed in the period from December 18, 1736 to January 27, 1737, and first produced on May 18 of the latter year at Covent Garden. The libretto is probably older."
