Hardcover with glassine dust jacket and slipcase. Book in very good condition. Internally endpages are lightly age-toned but clean, free of previous owners marks or signatures. The dust wrapper has tears along spine strip and is almost completely separated along the front gutter. The slipcase is lightly soiled and sun-faded but still in very good condition.

A very good, clean copy inside and out wth what looks like a very slightly nibbled patch at the top of the outside edge of front cover. With an ink mark to top spine edge of glassine dust wrapper. Internally clean, free of previous owners marks or signatures. Some page edges roughly cut and some as yet uncut. A very good copy.
Philadelphia: J.B. Lippincott & Co.. 1877. Two volumes. 431pp. and 433-864pp. Hardcover, no jacket. Top-edge gilt. Illustrated with b/w engravings. Ex-library, with markings including bookplates to front pastedowns, stamps including small stamp to corner of each engraving, and damage to rear pastedowns where pocket was removed. Overall Good+ condition. Gilt decorated boards are mottled with apparent insect nibbliing, not affecting interior. Spines have inked library numbers and still-bright gilt titling and decoration. Corners unbumped. The binding is secure but cracking at the title page of vol 1. Aside from the library markings, the interiors are clean and unfoxed. New York: Horace Liveright, Inc. 1931. First Edition. Hardcover with jacket. 256pp. Top edge blue. Very Good plus, in a Very Good plus jacket. Unclipped blue paper jacket is clean and not sun faded; faint foxing spots if you look close. Shiny blue-green boards are stamped, with gilt titling on front and spine. They are clean and unbumped. There are a couple of dust spots on the fore-edge. Inside there are two small bookseller pencilled markings to ffep. Otherwise clean and unmarked. Square and tight. A really nice jacketed copy of this work by O'Neill. Three full length plays set in a New England seaport town immediately after the Civil War. (cfm)

Internally, end papers age toned, but free of previous owners marks or signatures, with a few bits of foxing to prelims. Title unread, as pages largely uncut. The binding is tight but front hinge is cracked with rear intact. Laid in is the play bill of the Greenwich Village Theatre, during the first presentation in America of this comedy.

Black boards lightly soiled with design in gilt on front cover still bright but title on spine strip dulled with wear along spine edges. Internally, pages slightly age-toned but clean in very good condition. No previous owners marks or signatures found. All 12 tipped in plates present and in very good condition. The slipcase is in poor condition, still in one piece but missing half of the spine strip, as well as worn to boards and starting to seperate along most folds.
