Hardcover.  Orange boards soiled, with sun fading to spine strip and light overall shelf-wear.  Page edges soiled. Internally, a previous owners bookplate is attached to inside front board, with several initials inked to verso of frontispiece, otherwise pages clean and bright.  The binding is tight and hinges intact. A very good copy.

Otherwise, paper slightly age-toned, but in very good, clean condition. With 12 pages of ads to rear. *Rest of subtitle..."Comprising Fourteen Hundred and Thirty-Seven Names, and Two Hundred and Ninety Six Vessels, Including Those Lost in the Gale of August 24, 1873.
