Stamped brown cloth boards with gilt titling show moderate wear and a bit of soiliing; gilt titling remains bright. Slightly cocked. Interior clean and unmarked, and securely bound. "The present handbook has been prepared mainly with the object of furnishing to Indian officials and to students of Indian agriculture a compact account of the alimentary value of the chief Food-Grains of our Eastern Empire." Book itself is only mildly shelf-worn. Interior is clean and free of stray markings, though there is an appoximately two inch long tear at the top of the first free end-paper (with no loss of paper. Pages also show some age-toning throughout. Overall, this is a very good copy with a good dust jacket.
