Internally, a very good, clean copy, except for a blue check mark to top of outside edge 1st free end-page. The binding is tight with hinges intact.

Ex-library, with blank library bookplate (stamped discard) to inside front board and no other library markings. The decorated boards are soiled and shelfworn with the label across boards and spine strip soiled and chipped, with a split along front gutter, and light wear along edges, spine ends and edge points. Internally, end-pages lightly age-toned, with library bookplate to inside front board, but otherwise free of previous owners marks or signatures except to title page where someone has penciled in the words found in the publishers device on the title page. Otherwise, a very good, clean copy. The binding is tight with hinges intact although the rear hinge has two holes towards the top of the hinge.

Brown blindstamped boards with gilt on front cover and spine still bright, lightly soiled and shelfworn, with several small flecks dinged to boards. Board fore-edges worn to boards with edge points gently bumped and worn to boards and spine ends worn and starting to fray. Internally end pages lightly age toned with a previous owners name inked to middle of 1st free endpage (leaking into verso). Otherwise pages relatively clean save for an old damp stain to outside lower third of page edge, getting bigger towards middle and then decreasing in size again. The binding is tight and hinges intact.
