Page edges are rough cut and some have not been separated carefully; there is wear to the spine, both top and bottom, as well as to the bottom edges, else very good. There are no previous signatures and the pages are clean and bright. A very good copy.

Otherwise in very good condition. Interior is clean, bright and free of stray markings, though there is some light age-toning to the page edges and scattered foxing, most notably to the end-papers. Overall this is a very good copy.

London: Bell's Life in London. 1852. 336pp with one folded plate. Internally previous owners name on front fly leaf, Folding plate has a small tear in the margins. Also the edges are frayed. Textual pages age toned. Binding at the top of spine has an inch missing. The bottom has a quarter of an inch missing as well. Binding lightly soiled.

Externally, front binding and spine spotted from possible dampness or foxing. Back binding clean and bright. Except for the latter, a very good copy. Previous owners book-plate inside front binding and signature on first free end-page.

Binding lightly sun-faded at lower half of front binding where a torn jacket has exposed the binding. Wear to spine edge, near top. Dust jacket is quite worn, with a large chunk missing on the lower front cover but still in one piece.
