The binding is tight but slightly cocked, and hinges intact.

Bound in quarter leather with marbled boards with gilt on spine still bright, but rubbed along hinge edges, worn at spine ends with some chipping to top spine end and light overall shelfwear to edges. The rear board is also scratched across the middle of the board with some gouging and loss of marbled paper. Internally marbled end-pages clean but first 22 pages soiled/age-toned, otherwise aside from an occasional smudge or minor foxing scattered through, a near very good, solid copy.
