Boston:A. Williams and Co. 1883. 509pp. 1st edition. Illustrated. Hardcover.  The cloth boards are soiled, faded and quite worn, especially at spine, with fraying to ends. The hinges are intact but the binding has cracked at several places within the book. Still in one piece but not tight. There is a modern inked signature to ffep as well as an older owners signature to the top of the introduction page and list of illustrations page. The pages are slightly age-toned but otherwise clean.  All illustrations are present but a couple are loose.
