Andover; Flagg and Gould, 1820. Hardcover, no dj.  xxiii,[25]-432pp. Errata present and tipped onto rear pastedown. Endpapers, half-title, frontis with tissue guard, and title all present.  Half of fold out map is missing.  Leather boards well worn and rubbed.  Gilt title on maroon strip on spine present.  Age toning, scattered foxing and occasional minor dampstains.  Binding is secure. Overall a very satisfactory copy, excepting the damaged map.  Harmon's Journal  provides an important first hand description of life in the fur trade along the Canadian border in the early 19th century.  (cfm)
