(1925). 1st edition. 142pp.  With inscription on the 1st free end-page from Susan (Glaspel) to Inez (Haynes Irwin) with a subsequent inscription from Inez to Eben Given III. Hardcover. Orange boards lightly soiled and shelf-worn. Internally, paper slightly age toned but otherwise a very good, clean copy.  The binding is tight, rear hinge intact but front hinge is starting at lower edge.  *Susan Glaspell was George Cram Cooks wife and together, in 1915, they founded the first modern American theater Co., The Provincetown Players.  Inez Haynes Irwin was a writer of over 40 books, including the Maida Series, and was active in the Suffragist movement in the early 1900's.
