[20]+xxxviii+115+[6]+74pp. Illustrated with many engravings including 40 full page. Original leather boards with new decorative spine and endpapers.  Boards are well worn but the spine is quite handsome in fresh brown leather with maroon title panel. Many owner notes made to pastedowns over the centuries. Top page margins are sharply toned throughout.  There are periodic dampstains in the lower margins and several instance of pencilled reader notes.  Pages otherwise very clean with very little foxiing, and securely bound.
