London:John Murray. 1855. 2nd edition. xxiv+365pp+32pp catalog.  Illustrated with 2 plates, 3 plans (2 folding) and 1 large folded map at rear.  Hardcover.  Brown blindstamped boards lightly soiled and shelfworn, with spine strip starting to seperate, about 2 inches down from the top, along the rear gutter. The top of the spine end is worn and frayed as well.  Gilt still bright but spine strip has darkened. Internally, there is an ownership stamp, stamped to the inside front board as well as a penciled signature on the 2nd free end page and a bookseller ticket to the inside rear board.  The first few pages have an occassional bit of foxing but overall the pages are clean.  The plates are in very good condition. The map at rear has been refolded poorly, and as a result has wear to edges and seams, with a bit of foxing to one of the folds.
