Philadelphia: J.B. Lippincott & Co.. 1877. Two volumes. 431pp. and 433-864pp. Hardcover, no jacket. Top-edge gilt. Illustrated with b/w engravings. Ex-library, with markings including bookplates to front pastedowns, stamps including small stamp to corner of each engraving, and damage to rear pastedowns where pocket was removed. Overall Good+ condition. Gilt decorated boards are mottled with apparent insect nibbliing, not affecting interior. Spines have inked library numbers and still-bright gilt titling and decoration. Corners unbumped. The binding is secure but cracking at the title page of vol 1. Aside from the library markings, the interiors are clean and unfoxed.
