London:George Routledge and Sons, Ltd. (1937). 1st English edition. xi+250pp. Hardcover with dust jacket. Turquoise boards slightly shelfworn and soiled. Edges, top and bottom, are sunfaded. Internally, penciled inscription to top of 1st free end-page, otherwise pages are clean. Several pages towards the center have their bottom edges creased.  The binding is tight and hinges intact. The dust jacket is quite soiled and worn, still in one piece (not price clipped), but with chips and tears to edges and folds. A very good/good dust jacket.  *The author  "arranged to follow the route of his childhood's hero, limited his journey similarly to a period of eighty days. Here are his impressions on that journey...Part of the journey was made in the company of Charlie Chaplin, of whom he gives a delicate and profound account."
