Blue cloth boards show some sunfading but very little wear. The tips are unbumped. Inside the contents are in fine condition, clean and unmarked. with sharp corners and no foxing. The binding is square and tight. We obtained this copy directly from the publisher, it has never been privately owned. "Of Deidamia, Handel's last Italian Opera, the last act was commenced first, on Oct. 14, 1740; the whole was finished on Nov. 20 following.  The first performance took place in Lincoln's Inn Fields on Jan 10, 1741."
