London:Grey Walls Press. 1953. 1st UK edition. 272pp. Hardcover with dust jacket.  Blue boards soiled with something dripped, and age toned along edges with title in gilt on spine.  Page edges soiled.  Internally, end pages just sligthly age toned but free of previous owners marks or signatures. Otherwise pages bright. The binding is tight and hinges intact.  The dust jacket is in poor condition, soiled and in two pieces, split along rear hinge and missing 3/4 of spine strip as well as smaller chips and tears to edges and folds.  *Her first and only novel, published in the US in 1932.
