Boston:G. W. Cottell and Company. No date (ca:1849-1855). 350pp. Illustrated with 10 engravings. Hardcover.  Embossed boards soiled and shelfworn with gilt on spine quite dulled. Edge points bumped and worn to boards. Spine ends worn with small tears. Internally, penciled previous owners name and date to 1st free end-page, with end pages age toned and light foxing to prelims, otherwise in very good condition. Occasional smudges or spots of browning/age toning can be found if thumbing through pages but overall, in very good condition.  Plates found at frontispiece, 32, 39, 65, 73, 111, 170, 200, 298,  and 318. The binding is tight but both hinges have cracked. Overall, a good solid copy.
