Boston:Houghton Mifflin Company. 1948. 1st edition. xiv+329pp. Hardcover with dust jacket.  Yellow boards lightly soiled and edgeworn, with some discolorization to mid spine strip. Page edges lightly soiled. Internally, end-pages age-toned, with some soiling as well as soiling from dust residue to top edges of inside boards, but otherwise free of previous owners marks or signatures. The binding is tight and hinges intact. The dust jacket is in fair condition, still in one piece and not price clipped, but soiled with wear to edges and folds, including chips and tears as well as missing a large chunk fron the bottom of spine strip as well as bottom front cover.
