Ridgewood, NJ: Gregg Press Incorporated. 1965. Hardcover, no jacket. 262pp. Facsimile reproduction of the original work printed for the German Handel Society in 1859. This copy is in Very Good condtion. Blue cloth boards have some sunfading, but otherwise show very little wear. The tips are unbumped. Inside the contents are in fine condition.  The pages are clean and unmarked. with sharp corners and no foxing. The binding is square and tight. We obtained this copy directly from the publisher, it has never been privately owned. "The Oratorio of Hercules was composed in about four weeks, in the months of July and August, 1744. Thomas Broughton, a clergyman, was author of the text...founded on the story of Hercules and Dejanira, as it is related by Ovid in the Ninth Book of his Metamorphoses. Performed at King's Theatre in the Hay-Market, 1745." (cfm)
