Boston:Ticknor and Fields, 1856. Author's edition. 284pp.+12pp ads dated March 1856. Hardcover. Blind-stamped brown boards, with title in gilt on spine dulled, are lightly soiled and shelfworn, with some bubbling to cloth, and wear along edges, spine ends frayed, and edge points gently bumped. Internally endpages age-toned/foxed, with a previous owners bookplate to inside front board, and foxing to first few pages, but otherwise clean. The binding is tight with hinges intact.
