Hardcover.  Red boards lightly soiled and shelfworn, with sun-fading to spine strip, and wear along edges, spine ends and edge points. Gilt on front cover still bright.  Page edges soiled. Internally, a previous owners name is penciled to top of 1st free end-page with old bookseller ticket to bottom inside edge. Otherwise pages clean with a bit of foxing scrattered throughout, usually adjacent to plates. The binding is tight but cocked, with hinges intact.
