Hardcover. Brown boards with decoration in gilt to front cover and title in gilt to spine strip soiled, with some spotted stains (not affecting gold-embosssed center illustration) to the  lower-left quadrant, as well as general mottling to front cover and spine strip and light wear along edges, spine ends and edge points gently bumped and worn. Internally in very good condition. A previous owners inscription to 2nd free end-page with some offset to opposite page, otherwise a very good clean copy. The binding is tight with hinges intact..
