Very good copy of a first edition in a mixed state of Charles Dickens' first novel. Bound in green half-leather binding over green boards. Spines ends are shelf worn and corners bumped. Inside pastedown has binder's plate of Douglas and Foulis, Edinburgh. Significant soiling and age toning to frontispiece and illustrated title page. Title page has a previous owner’s mark in top right corner. Pages are age toned but generally clean. Light soiling to illustrations. Binding is tight but hinges are cracked.
