New York: G and C. Carvill, 1828. Volume 1: 312pp. Volume 2: 307pp. Hardcover. Bound in half leather on marbled boards. Gutters cracked on both volumes. Spine strip of volume 1 has rotted away, leaving the grouping’s visible. Volume 2 also has severe red rot. Boards are stained and faded. Ex lib’s of Henry A. Muhlenberg on front pastedown of both volumes. Upper margin of the title page to volume 1 has been torn off, but no text is lost. Soiling throughout and age toning. Previous owner’s signature on pages 66 and 67 of volume 1 and 290-292 of volume 2. Binding is tight and hinges are intact.
