RINALDO A POEM; IN XII BOOKS

translated from the Italian of Torquato Tasso by John Hoole. London: printed for J. Dodsley, Pall-Mall, 1792. Hardcover. xix, [2] 326, [14]pp. 2 plates. Bound in a later half-leather binding over marbled boards with the book plate of Edmund Janes Carpenter on front pastedown. Leather is dried out and boards are soiled. There are large water stains to each corner of the binding. None of the binding damage affects the internal condition. Pages are age toned but mostly clean with some foxing in places. Engraved portraits of Tasso and Hoole are both present. ESTC: T133780.
