Light wear to edges with edge points gently bumped. Internally, a previous owners name stamped to 1st free end-page with a small bookplate from same person on inside front board. Otherwise, aside from some light foxing to margins of frontispiece, a very good clean copy. The last page of the contents, list of illustrations and 1st page of the book all have a small tear to the upper page margin, not intruding into book. 
Garden City, New York:Doubleday, Doran & Company, Inc. 1929. 1st edition, stated. 311pp. Hardcover with dust jacket.  Boards in very good, clean condition, with a couple of worn spots to label on spine. Page edges lighlty soiled. Internally decorated end-pages just slightly age-toned but otherwise clean, free of previous owners marks or signatures. The binding is tight with hinges intact. The dust jacket is near very good condition, lightly soiled, with some wear along edges and folds, with a chip to the top edge of the rear panel. Now encased in brodart. It is not price clipped.

Edge points gently bumped and worn and page edges soiled.  Internally, end pages age toned with a previous owners bookplate to inside front board, otherwise pages clean. The binding is tight and hinges intact. A good solid copy of the Author's first book.

No previous owners marks or signatures. Binding is tight and hinges intact. The dust jacket is worn and soiled, still in one piece, but with many small chips and tears to edges.

Overall, a very good/good+ copy.
