We obtained this book directly from the publisher; it has never been privately owned. Light rubbing/stains to the blue cloth covers. A small (1/4") stain to title page. Otherwise this is as new. The pages are clean and bright, unmarked, unfoxed and with sharp corners. The binding is square and tight. Leon Gautier was a French literary historian known for his work on French literature from the Middle Ages. (cfm)
